GEORGIA JUNIOR FOUR-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP CROWNS WINNERS
BOLEN-GAMBRELL WIRE-TO-WIRE CHAMPIONS
THOMASTON, Ga. (April 29, 2007) – After a three-year hiatus, the illustrious Georgia Junior Four-Ball Championship presented by Atlanta Junior Golf concluded today with Sean Bolen, from Lawrenceville, and Ryan Gambrell, from Acworth, winning this year’s tournament at Raintree Golf & Country Club in Thomaston, Ga.
Bolen and Gambrell stretched their first-round lead after converting five birdies over the first seven holes, and finishing with seven birdies for the day. The team posted the lowest score on the front nine (31), and after struggling through a stretch of holes on the backside, Bolen and Gambrell birdied both holes 17 and 18 to round out the day at 4-under 68.
After shooting a 1-over 73 during yesterday’s first round, Oliver Schniederjans, from Powder Springs, and Boyd Wilson, from Acworth, finished second posting the lowest round of the day (66) and converting five birdies and an eagle on the par-5 5th hole. Jennifer and Judy Nam, from Buford, finished today’s round making four birdies, dropping into third place after matching their first round 71.
